Our Sunday message –“The Return of the Prodigal Son and the Dad who embraced him.”
The Prodigal Son is a parable told by Jesus. This story is about a Father and his two sons. His younger son wanted his inheritance early. He goes out into the world, only to discover through trial and error and hardship, that home wasn’t such a bad place. He returns home to beg for a job, only to find the outstretched arms of his father. Where is home? Can we ever be truly away from home? A father’s love, how much more would the love that we were created out of, the love that is God, be a constant embrace for us. Can we even begin to comprehend the energy of Pure Goodness that creates more of itself in us daily?
Many of us go searching. We travel a distance to find our true Source. Then if we are fortunate, and stop long enough, we find that it has been with us always. And that brings us to the older son. Join us this Sunday as we witness our personal journey back to the loving embrace of God, which is always with us.
Let us affirm together: I align my human nature with my Higher Self, knowing that when God is at the forefront of my life, decisions and processes are made ease. All things are provided for.
Unity Church of Tidewater is open for a soft opening. If you need human contact (though limited with social distance and masks), and are yearning for connection, our doors are open for you. Out of respect for all, we are sitting 6 feet apart from each other, and wearing our masks. We are refraining from hugging or hand holding unless you hug and hold the person’s hand elsewhere. If you choose to come or chose to watch us online, please know that you are always welcome.
We are also on Facebook this Sunday at 11a.m.
