Pressing Forward

God Day To YOU,

Let us take a deep breath and center yourself in this moment.
We acknowledge the Power and Presence of God, within us and all around us.
And we give thanks, for it truly is an ongoing blessing to know and understand the powerful working energy of Divine Presence.
We start this moment in this awareness that God and I Are One.
We feel it in our very soul. It gives us strength and comfort, guidance, and wisdom.
We move our day forward, knowing it is illumined by the Light of God.
And so it is! And so we let it be!
Amen and Amen

Weather is a funny thing. We can count on it to change thus giving us frequent opportunities to flow along with the “what is.” So too with life. Sunday’s service has once again moved back to the sanctuary where there is air conditioning. We allow summer to be summer in Virginia Beach.

Our Sunday message – “Pressing Forward”

We have choices before us every single day. We can choose to go with the flow or push against it. We can stand still, move forward, or press forward. Pressing Forward is done with a bit more energy than just moving forward. It is more than taking a step forward. Pressing Forward is leaning into the future, the prize, the next experience. It requires courageousness on the person’s part. It usually happens after a great set back, or illness, or maybe a pandemic virus. It is leaning into the unknown with faith that moves mountains, trusting that more and better is coming. Join us this Sunday as we “Pressing Forward” for the prize.

“…this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God…”         (Philippians 3:13, 14)

Let us affirm together: I lean into my good. I press forward in faith. I am courageous.

Unity Church of Tidewater is open for a soft opening. If you need human contact (we are limited with social distance and masks), and are yearning for connection, our doors are open for you. Out of respect for all, we are sitting 6 feet apart from each other, and wearing our masks. We are refraining from hugging or hand holding unless you hug and hold the person’s hand elsewhere. Whether you choose to join us in the sanctuary or watch us online, please know that you are always welcome.
We are also on Facebook this Sunday at 11a.m.
Thanks to all of you who are joining us physically, virtually, and prayerfully. YOU ROCK!!!

Today and Always, We, the people are the church. We Grow in God and Grow in Love Daily. Our Just Rewards for living God are Royal Inner Peace, Profound Agape Love, and Abounding Joy.
